About UltraCalculators

384+ free calculators built specifically for the UK: accurate, instant, and designed to actually help.

Who We Are

UltraCalculators is built and maintained by Jacob Bytom, based in the United Kingdom. The site is an independent project focused on providing accurate, free calculator tools for UK-specific calculations.

Development uses a multi-stage pipeline combining automated code generation, structured formula verification, and continuous integration testing. All formulas are independently verified against official sources. We believe this transparency is more valuable than hiding how the site is built.

The problem we solve

Every time you Google “stamp duty calculator” or “how much concrete do I need”, you land on a page drowning in ads, pop-ups, and results you can't trust. Half the sites use outdated tax rates. The other half make you reload the page to see your answer. We got tired of it, so we built something better.

UltraCalculators gives you the answer the moment you type. No submit buttons, no page reloads, no sign-up walls. Every financial calculator is verified against HMRC published examples and updated when rates change. Every result can be exported as a PDF or shared via a link.

What you get

  • Instant results: calculations update in real time as you adjust inputs, no waiting
  • UK-specific accuracy: HMRC tax tables, Ofgem energy rates, NHS health guidelines, and DVLA vehicle data
  • Charts and breakdowns: visual outputs that make complex numbers understandable at a glance
  • PDF export: download your results to share with your accountant, builder, or mortgage adviser
  • Dark mode: every page supports light and dark themes
  • No account required: completely free, no tracking, no data collection beyond basic analytics

How we stay accurate

Financial calculators are tested against HMRC published worked examples before launch. When rates change (the April 2026 stamp duty threshold changes, for instance), we update the formulas and tag affected calculators with a freshness badge so you know the numbers are current.

Health calculators reference NHS and WHO clinical guidelines. Construction estimators use manufacturer-standard coverage rates. We show our working wherever possible and include methodology notes on every calculator page.

Our Development Approach

Our development pipeline uses automated code generation and structured verification tooling. We are transparent about this because we believe accuracy comes from rigorous testing, not from who or what writes the code.

Every calculator is backed by automated unit tests. Financial calculators are cross-referenced against HMRC published worked examples. Health calculators are validated against NHS clinical thresholds. A separate verification layer runs independently of the authoring process, enforcing correctness structurally.

Accountability

If you find an error in any calculator, please contact us. YMYL (Your Money or Your Life) calculator corrections (finance, health, and energy) are prioritised and typically resolved within 24 hours. All fixes include regression tests to prevent the same error recurring.
